The Motherssey What does it mean to lead revoluti The Motherssey

What does it mean to lead revolutions in boardrooms, challenge industries to confront uncomfortable truths, raise children on little sleep, and still find the courage to keep building a better future?

At the World Woman Cannes Agenda, Maria Milusheva brings a story forged through creativity, activism, motherhood, and fearless leadership.

As Chief Creative Officer of Bulgaria's largest communications group and the founding mother of MUCH BETTER, Maria has spent her career pushing boundaries and creating spaces for conversations many industries avoid. A TEDx speaker, brand-building lecturer, and champion for women's voices, she has transformed dialogue into action—bringing Cannes Lions' See It Be It program to Sofia, launching the Balkans' first femvertising conference, and leading groundbreaking initiatives on women's empowerment, human rights, inclusion, and social impact.

Her work has challenged domestic violence, advocated for refugees, supported LGBTQ+ rights, defended human dignity, and called attention to the urgent needs of our planet. Through it all, she has remained committed to one belief: meaningful change begins when we are willing to have the conversations that matter.

Now, she brings that journey to the stage.

"The Motherssey" is part of "That's What She Said" — a curated spotlight of women redefining media, leadership, and creative power through authentic, unfiltered expression.

On the sidelines of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, women from across the world share stories of ambition, resilience, motherhood, power, identity, and transformation—revealing how personal experiences become forces for cultural change.

So, what's your favorite position? What does it m So, what's your favorite position?

What does it mean to move through life with courage, creativity, and authenticity — while constantly reinventing yourself and inspiring others to do the same?

At the WORLD WOMAN FOUNDATION Cannes Agenda, Jessica Stahl, Founder of Vanillacooldance draws cartoons about sex, shame, periods, desire, and all the things women are expected to experience quietly and never discuss. Her talk is about what happened when she started saying it all out loud.

As the artist and creator of Vanillacooldance — a taboo-breaking cartoon universe — she has spent the last decade normalizing what women have been taught to whisper. What began as diary doodles after a heartbreak and a one-way ticket to Amsterdam has grown into a community of over 90,000, with street art across Amsterdam, New York, and DC, and millions reached online. A Cannes Lions See It Be It alum and bCreator Sex & Relationships Creator of the Year, she has spoken at Cannes Lions, SxTech EU, and SheSays, and been featured in Cosmopolitan, HuffPost, and Adweek.

Her talk is raw, funny, and uncomfortably honest. It’s about raising the shameless woman she drew before she knew how to be her — and what happened when that character started holding her to her own standards.

The talk is about shame, desire, and what happens when you stop hiding the parts of yourself you were taught to keep quiet.

Now, she brings that journey to the stage.

“So, What's Your Favorite Position?” is part of “That’s What She Said” — a curated spotlight of women redefining media, leadership, and creative power through authentic, unfiltered expression.

On the sidelines of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, women’s voices take center stage — sharing stories that challenge conventions, spark conversation, and celebrate the many ways women lead, create, and shape culture.

Allison Worldwide to host Game Changers: How Gen Z Allison Worldwide to host Game Changers: How Gen Z Women Are Redefining Sports Culture at the WORLD WOMAN FOUNDATION Cannes Agenda, on the sidelines of Cannes Lions 2026.

Women’s sports are no longer emerging—they are scaling into a global cultural force. But the real disruption is happening beyond the field: Gen Z women are actively redefining the language, reach, and power of sports culture itself.

They are not passive audiences. They are athletes, creators, entrepreneurs, and community builders reshaping how sports are experienced, shared, and valued. Through athlete-led storytelling, creator ecosystems, and new expressions of fandom and identity, they are expanding who participates—and who leads—sports culture.

This is more than a cultural shift. It is a redefinition of influence, ownership, and engagement.

Join leaders from Crocs, e.l.f. Beauty, and the creator community for a high-impact conversation on how Gen Z women are transforming sports culture, what authentic participation looks like for brands today, and where this fast-moving movement goes next.

Our expansion to Art Basel is about more than pres Our expansion to Art Basel is about more than presence — it is about creating space for women artists, cultural leaders, collectors, innovators, and changemakers to shape the future of global culture and creative leadership.

As the world navigates increasing polarization and uncertainty, women’s voices in art and culture are essential to building empathy, preserving identity, and imagining more inclusive futures.

We are proud to announce that it is expanding its We are proud to announce that it is expanding its global presence to the, bringing the Equality Moonshot to one of the world’s most influential cultural stages.

Storytelling shapes culture. Culture shapes society. And society shapes opportunity.

Yet women remain significantly underrepresented across the global film industry:
• Women directed only approximately 16% of the top 250 grossing films globally in recent years
• Less than one-third of speaking roles in film are held by women
• Female filmmakers continue to receive a fraction of major production financing worldwide
• Women of color remain among the most underrepresented voices in global cinema leadership

At the same time, research consistently shows that films with diverse leadership and inclusive storytelling drive stronger audience engagement, broader market reach, and long-term cultural impact. Representation is not just a social issue — it is an economic and creative imperative.

As we expand to Venice, our mission is clear:
To elevate women filmmakers, creators, innovators, and cultural leaders who are redefining the future of storytelling across borders.

Cinema has the power to challenge stereotypes, influence generations, and create empathy at scale. In a time when the world is facing division, displacement, and growing inequality, women’s voices in media and storytelling are more essential than ever.

The future of film must be inclusive. The future of culture must be equitable. And the future of leadership must include women at every decision-making table.

Venice marks another important step toward building a global ecosystem where women are not only seen — but funded, celebrated, and empowered to lead.

The World Woman Foundation congratulates Iulia Vân The World Woman Foundation congratulates Iulia Vântur on the powerful launch of Echoes of Us, an award-winning English short film marking her acting debut alongside veteran actor Deepak Tijori.

Directed by Joe Rajan and produced by Pooja Batra, the film courageously explores themes of grief, emotional neglect, and the unseen emotional labor many women carry within relationships. Through an intimate and deeply human narrative, Echoes of Us challenges audiences to reflect on the voices too often unheard behind closed doors. 🎬

At the World Woman Foundation, we believe storytelling is one of the most powerful tools for advancing empathy, equality, and cultural transformation. Highlighting projects like Echoes of Us is important because cinema has the ability to spark conversations that society often avoids—especially around women’s emotional experiences, visibility, and value within personal and social structures.

As the global entertainment industry continues to evolve, stories led by emotional truth and authentic female narratives are essential in shaping a more compassionate and conscious future. We celebrate the entire team behind Echoes of Us for creating a film that not only moves audiences, but also inspires deeper dialogue around humanity, relationships, and women’s voices. 🌍✨

During the celebrations at the iconic Festival de Cannes, Iulia Vântur also joined Rupa Dash at the exclusive VIP Reception at La Scène Artistique, bringing together global voices in film, culture, and impact-driven storytelling on the sidelines of Cannes.

With 2M+ eyeballs reached through our digital outdoor media campaign, we witnessed something powerful: when women’s voices are amplified, the world pays attention.

In an era of exponential technology and AI, investing in women storytellers is no longer optional — it is essential. The stories shaping the future of humanity cannot be built from one lens alone. Women bring perspective, empathy, creativity, courage, and truth that the world urgently needs.

From filmmakers and journalists to founders, artists, and changemakers, Cannes became a global reminder that representation is not just visibility — it is influence, power, and legacy.

The future of AI, media, culture, and leadership must include women not only at the table, but behind the camera, in the boardroom, writing the narratives, and shaping the algorithms.
