I am originally from Houston, Texas, but I am currently a sophomore majoring in English at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). I enjoy exercising with my dog, exploring with friends, keeping up with current events, reading, and writing. I having previous experience writing for a campus newspaper, and I am eager to further develop my personal writing style in my internship with World Woman Foundation! When women receive equal opportunity, everyone benefits. Every woman deserves a voice and a platform to use it. In this internship, I look forward to learning how I can help other women find their platform. I am excited to hear about the multitude of issues that women care about. Furthermore, I look forward to hearing the various perspectives women have on these issues. I am ready to be challenged by other women because I will learn from them. I believe there is a lesson in every conversation, situation, and experience. These lessons I am taught by women in this internship will teach me valuable communication and writing skills that I will use for the remainder of college and in my future career.
